The building was originally built in 1880 as the Letson House, an elegant resort in its time. In 1909, a new wing was added and the entire building was encased in brick. From that time, it was successfully operated as a hotel until the current owners, Virgil and Jeanne Batesole, purchased the property in 1977 and renovated the building for apartments
A major remodeling project changed the interior of the building to a decor reminiscent of the Victorian era. Decks were also added to the front and rear of the building, affording many tenants the chance to enjoy an outside living space as well. |

Elegantly remodeled and consisting of 50 rental units, The Alexson offers efficiency units, studio units, as as well as one, two and three-bedroom units. All utilities, in addition to expanded cable TV, are included in the rental charge.
Off-street parking in our parking lot is provided for tenants, and carports and storage units are available for rent. Most units are attractively furnished, but tenants can provide their own furnishings.

A recreation room with exercise equipment, tables for cards, games and puzzles, and lounge furnishings overlooks the courtyard. Convenient laundry rooms are provided on the first and second floors of the building for tenants' use.
